Jakarta – Kia is strengthening its presence in Jakarta with the opening of Kia Puri, a new dealership that combines vehicle sales, after-sales service, and genuine spare parts under one roof. The move supports Kia Sales Indonesia’s broader plan to expand its dealer network and improve customer access to the brand.
Located in Kembangan, West Jakarta, Kia Puri operates as a 3S dealership, covering Sales, Service, and Spare Parts. Its opening coincides with the launch of Kia Serpong in South Tangerang, which focuses on vehicle sales through a 1S format.
Together, the two dealerships support Kia’s target of reaching 40 dealer agreements by the end of 2026.
Kia Expands Its Dealer Network
Kia Puri reflects the brand’s strategy to reach more customers across Jakarta. The company aims to make its vehicles and ownership services more accessible as its product lineup continues to grow in Indonesia.
Jong Sung Park, CEO of Kia Sales Indonesia, said the company wants to reach more areas of Jakarta. The expansion will also help customers learn about Kia’s products and access the services they need.
A wider dealer network can make routine maintenance, technical consultations, and access to genuine spare parts more convenient. These services are important as customers consider not only the purchase price but also the long-term ownership experience.
Kia Puri is located at Puri Indah Auto Center, Jalan Puri Lingkar Luar No. 31, Kembangan Selatan, Kembangan, Jakarta 11610.
Kia Puri Offers Sales and After-Sales Services
Kia Puri adopts a compact 3S format, with a land area of 655 square meters and a total building area of 552 square meters.
The showroom can display up to four vehicles. Visitors can explore the available models, consult with the sales team, and arrange test drives before deciding which vehicle best suits their needs.
The dealership also provides several customer facilities. These include a customer lounge, multipurpose lounge, galley zone, and kids zone. A dedicated new-car delivery area supports vehicle handovers.
For after-sales needs, Kia Puri features a service reception area and a workshop with two work bays. Customers can use these facilities for vehicle maintenance and other workshop services.
The dealership can also provide information about available models, purchase programs, and workshop services. Customers can contact Kia Puri at 021-22819393 for further details.
Carens EV Concept Highlights Kia’s Electric Future
The opening of Kia Puri also featured the Carens EV Concept, previously introduced at GIIAS Jakarta 2026.
The concept offers a preview of Kia’s direction for an electric family MPV. Its development emphasizes cabin space, comfort, and everyday practicality while introducing a more modern design.
The display also gave visitors an opportunity to see the concept in person after Kia officially opened its pre-booking period on October 26, 2026.
Through dealerships such as Kia Puri, interested customers can seek further information about the vehicle and receive guidance on the ordering process. However, the concept’s appearance at the dealership does not confirm final production specifications or delivery dates.
Local Production Supports Kia’s EV Strategy
Kia plans to begin local production of the Carens EV in November 2026. The plan covers both the vehicle and its battery.
According to the company’s announcement, Kia’s current domestic content level for its electric vehicles has exceeded 40%. The company projects that the figure could rise to nearly 80%.
Increasing local content could strengthen Kia’s manufacturing presence in Indonesia. It would also support the company’s broader efforts to develop its electric vehicle business in the domestic market.
Local production plans and an expanding dealer network address two important parts of EV adoption. Manufacturing supports the local automotive industry, while dealerships give customers access to product information and ownership services.
A Broader Customer Experience Strategy
Kia’s new facilities in Puri and Serpong serve different purposes. Kia Puri combines sales and after-sales services, while Kia Serpong focuses on sales.
This approach allows Kia to expand its reach through different dealership formats. It also gives the company opportunities to bring its products closer to customers in key urban areas.
As Kia introduces more vehicle options, including electric models, customer support will remain important beyond the initial purchase.
Park emphasized that the relationship with customers continues after vehicle delivery. He said Kia and its dealer partners must listen to customers, explain vehicle choices clearly, and provide appropriate guidance throughout ownership.
With its latest dealership openings, Kia is moving to strengthen both its retail presence and customer support in Indonesia. The planned expansion toward 40 dealer agreements by the end of 2026 will be an important milestone in that strategy.
For Kia, the challenge is not only to introduce new vehicles, but also to build a dealer network capable of supporting customers throughout their ownership journey.
