Jakarta – The Volkswagen Golf has been part of Indonesia’s automotive landscape for more than two decades, and some of its older generations are still being driven today. Instead of focusing only on selling new cars, Volkswagen Indonesia is now turning its attention to owners who want to keep their existing Golfs on the road.
Coinciding with Indonesia’s Independence Day period, Volkswagen Indonesia has introduced a special after-sales program covering the Golf MK5, MK6 and MK7. The initiative offers discounts on maintenance-related costs as well as an extended warranty on replacement parts purchased through the company’s authorized service network.

It also demonstrates that Volkswagen still sees value in supporting Golf generations that are no longer the newest products in its lineup.

Each generation of the Golf has developed its own following, and the MK5, MK6 and MK7 represent three distinct periods in the model’s development.

Volkswagen Offers 17% Discount on Golf Parts
Under the special program, owners of eligible Golf MK5, MK6 and MK7 models can receive a 17 percent discount when purchasing Volkswagen replacement parts through the brand’s official service network in Indonesia.
Volkswagen is also offering an 8 percent discount on service labor.
More importantly for drivers planning to keep their cars for several more years, replacement parts included in the program come with a two-year warranty with no mileage limitation.
The unlimited-mileage aspect could be particularly relevant for owners who regularly use their Golf for daily transportation rather than keeping it as an occasional weekend car.
Volkswagen says the program uses Genuine Parts installed through its authorized service network, where vehicles are handled by trained technicians.
Why Manufacturer Support Matters for Older Cars
Keeping an older vehicle on the road involves more than finding inexpensive replacement parts.
As vehicles age, the quality and compatibility of components can become increasingly important. A part that does not meet the correct specification may create additional problems or affect other systems in the vehicle.
