Mandalika – The New Agya Stylix delivered another competitive weekend for Toyota GAZOO Racing Indonesia as its youngest driver, Farrel Rafellyno Augusto, claimed two podium finishes in the 2026 ITCR 1200 championship at the Mandalika Circuit in West Nusa Tenggara.
Farrel finished third in the Non-Seeded class in Round 3 before returning the following day to take first place in the same category in Round 4. The results marked another positive step for the young racer as he continues to build experience in Indonesia’s highly competitive national touring car championship.
The two races, held on August 15-16, featured close competition over 12 laps. Farrel raced alongside his more experienced TGRI teammate, Amato Rudolph, who remained in the overall top five despite facing technical issues during the weekend.
A Podium Start for Toyota’s Youngest Racer
The weekend began with Round 3, where both TGRI drivers started inside the top five. The New Agya Stylix showed promising pace, allowing Amato and Farrel to compete against more experienced drivers on the Mandalika circuit.
Amato initially battled for a position inside the top three overall. However, an off-track moment dropped him down the order, and he eventually crossed the finish line fourth overall with a total race time of 25 minutes and 14.903 seconds.
Farrel maintained a more controlled race in the Non-Seeded category. He finished third in class with a total time of 25 minutes and 43.324 seconds, securing his first podium of the weekend.
The result gave the young driver additional confidence heading into Round 4. More importantly, it demonstrated that the New Agya Stylix could remain competitive over a full touring car race despite the close and aggressive nature of the ITCR 1200 field.

“He was not intimidated by the aggressive competition and managed to finish third in the Non-Seeded class in Round 3 before taking first place in Round 4.”
Farrel Turns Third Place Into Victory
Round 4 on Sunday presented an even bigger opportunity for Farrel.
Once again, both TGRI drivers started inside the top five, giving the team a chance to challenge the leading group from the beginning. Amato and Farrel worked together throughout the 12-lap race as the competition intensified toward the closing stages.
With two laps remaining, Farrel was running fourth and came under pressure from two competitors behind him. The battle became increasingly intense as the drivers fought for position and attempted to secure the best possible racing line.
Amato was also involved in the close battle, taking advantage of the bumper-to-bumper racing and multiple overtaking attempts around the Mandalika Circuit. His experience in national touring car competition became important during the closing stages.
Amato eventually finished fifth overall with a total race time of 28 minutes and 43.683 seconds. His performance also helped support Farrel’s push at the front as the younger TGRI driver maintained his position until the checkered flag.
Farrel completed the race in 28 minutes and 42.791 seconds, securing first place in the Non-Seeded class. The victory completed a strong turnaround after his third-place result in Round 3.
Experience Meets Young Talent
The Mandalika weekend also highlighted the combination of youth and experience within Toyota GAZOO Racing Indonesia’s ITCR 1200 program.
Farrel is the youngest driver in the TGRI lineup, while Amato brings significantly more experience from Indonesia’s national touring car scene. That experience played an important role as the two drivers worked together during the intense final stages of Round 4.
Farrel said the support from Amato helped him remain calm under pressure.
“I am very happy because my debut with TGRI has produced another positive result. The hard work of the TGRI engineers in maximizing the performance of the New Agya Stylix has also increased my confidence behind the wheel,” Farrel said.
He added that Amato’s role as a mentor helped him race with more confidence and without excessive pressure.
The young racer is now looking to carry that momentum into the next rounds, where he hopes TGRI can become even more competitive and continue fighting at the front of the grid.
The New Agya Stylix Takes on National Touring Car Racing
The ITCR 1200 championship provides a competitive environment for Toyota to test its race-prepared machinery while developing local racing talent.
For the New Agya Stylix, the Mandalika weekend offered another opportunity to demonstrate its potential in a demanding motorsport setting. Touring car racing requires consistency over multiple laps, with drivers often competing wheel-to-wheel and defending their position under sustained pressure.
Toyota said its motorsport activities are also part of a broader effort to support the development of Indonesian racing talent and gain experience that can contribute to future vehicle development.
According to Hiroyuki Oide, Marketing Director of PT Toyota Astra Motor, TGRI’s participation is intended to support motorsport as a platform for developing local drivers while also providing useful feedback for Toyota products.
The competitive results at Mandalika showed that the New Agya Stylix could play an important role in that program.
Farrel’s third-place finish in Round 3 and victory in Round 4 provided the clearest highlight of the weekend, while Amato’s fight to remain inside the overall top five added further points to TGRI’s championship campaign.
With one young driver gaining confidence and experience alongside an established teammate, Toyota GAZOO Racing Indonesia will look to build on its Mandalika performance in the next rounds of the 2026 ITCR 1200 season.
