Jakarta – Changan Nevo Q05 is moving into a new phase of its Indonesian journey as the electric SUV begins reaching customers who placed their orders during its launch at GIIAS 2026. The milestone was marked through the Changan Nevo Q05 Handover & Customer Appreciation event at The Dome, Senayan Park, Jakarta, where Changan symbolically handed over the first units while continuing deliveries to customers.
The handover represents an important transition for the model. After using GIIAS 2026 as the platform to introduce the Nevo Q05 to Indonesian consumers, Changan is now shifting its focus from product introduction to ownership experience, supported by local assembly, dealer expansion and after-sales services.
Sebastien Li, Director of Sales at Changan Auto Southeast Asia, said the company appreciated the trust given by customers and viewed the handover as the beginning of a longer relationship between the brand and its users.
“Today, we celebrate the presence of Changan Nevo Q05 as part of your daily life,” Li said. He added that Changan intended to build a long-term presence in Indonesia and grow together with customers and business partners.
The early response to the Nevo Q05 has also provided Changan with a strong starting point. The company said the model had collected more than 1,000 booking orders in Indonesia following its introduction at GIIAS 2026.
That response comes after the Nevo Q05 established a sizeable sales record in China. According to Changan, the electric SUV ranked as the number one compact SUV in China for four consecutive months, with cumulative sales exceeding 120,000 units within eight months of its launch.
The model was developed by an international design team involving more than 900 designers from 31 countries under the direction of Klaus Zyciora. Its exterior and interior design follow the “Inspiration of Light” philosophy, which is intended to give the compact electric SUV a distinctive visual identity.
For Indonesian buyers, however, the next stage of the Nevo Q05 story will depend less on its launch reception and more on the ownership experience. Changan is therefore highlighting several technology, comfort and practicality features as part of its proposition.
The Nevo Q05 comes with a 14.6-inch central head unit and a 10.17-inch digital instrument cluster. It also features voice commands that can be operated without a wake-up command and support Bahasa Indonesia, allowing users to interact with selected vehicle functions more naturally.
Comfort equipment includes ventilated front seats, adjustable second-row seatbacks, a panoramic roof and ambient lighting. The seats use premium leather upholstery and a nine-layer Cloud Comfort Foam structure designed to provide additional body support.
The electric SUV offers a claimed driving range of up to 462 kilometers under the NEDC testing standard. It also features Vehicle-to-Load technology, allowing the vehicle’s battery to supply electricity to external equipment when needed.
Charging capability is another part of the ownership proposition. Changan says the Nevo Q05 supports 3C fast charging, allowing the battery to be charged from 30 percent to 80 percent in around 15 minutes under the stated conditions.
Driver assistance is handled by a package of 25 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems features. The vehicle also uses a 540-degree camera system to provide a broader view around the vehicle, which can be useful during parking and low-speed maneuvering.
The Nevo Q05 is also locally assembled in Indonesia at an Indomobil Group facility in Purwakarta, West Java. Local assembly gives Changan a manufacturing presence in the country while supporting its longer-term strategy for the Indonesian market.
After-sales support is another area being developed alongside vehicle deliveries. Changan currently has 23 dealer locations across Indonesia, while the Nevo Q05 is covered by an eight-year or 240,000-kilometer battery warranty and a five-year or 150,000-kilometer vehicle warranty, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
With the launch period now ending, Changan has also announced the regular Jakarta on-the-road prices for the Nevo Q05. The Pro variant is priced at Rp349 million, while the Max variant is listed at Rp399 million.
This puts the Nevo Q05 into a price segment where electric SUVs are increasingly competing not only through battery range, but also through charging speed, driver assistance technology, cabin equipment and ownership support.
The next chapter for Changan Nevo Q05 will therefore be measured on the road rather than at an auto show. With the first customer deliveries now underway, the model has moved from being a new product on a GIIAS display stand to becoming part of the daily mobility of Indonesian drivers.
