IMX 2026 Turns Real Modified Cars into Limited 1:64 Collectibles

IMX 2026 exclusive diecast collection featuring AE86, Lamborghini Murcielago, and Hot Wheels BNR34

Jakarta – The IMX 2026 diecast lineup brings together automotive history, custom car culture, and collectible models in one event. Indonesia Modification & Lifestyle Expo (IMX) will present several exclusive 1:64-scale releases alongside full-size modified cars during its October exhibition.

Scheduled for October 9–11, 2026, at ICE BSD, Tangerang, IMX 2026 carries the theme “Next Gen Culture.” The event will feature hundreds of modified vehicles, international automotive personalities, and world premieres of custom-built cars.

For collectors, however, the miniature releases offer another reason to visit. This year’s lineup includes four IMX-exclusive event cars and collectible releases, as well as special collaborations involving VeilSide and Pandem.

Several models also have a direct connection to full-size vehicles created or associated with prominent figures in the automotive scene. This connection gives the releases a story beyond their limited production numbers.

Mini GT AE86 Keiichi Tsuchiya Leads the IMX Event Car Lineup

The first major release is the Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 associated with Japanese drifting legend Keiichi Tsuchiya.

Known as the Drift King, Tsuchiya’s AE86 has become an important part of Japanese drifting history. IMX 2026 will preserve that connection through the Mini GT Exclusive IMX Event Car 2026 AE86 Keiichi Tsuchiya “Shokunin Green.”

The model is particularly notable because it uses a new casting. According to the event information, its global debut will take place at IMX 2026, giving the release additional historical and collectible significance.

The exclusive Mini GT model will be sold as a bundle with a limited-edition T-shirt for Rp1,200,000. Visitors can find it at the Toyota GR booth, number A8.

For collectors interested in Japanese performance cars, the combination of an iconic AE86, Tsuchiya’s association, and a first-time casting makes this one of the event’s key releases.

Lamborghini Murciélago Drift Bull Gets a Limited Resin Pair Set

Another major release connects diecast collecting with one of Indonesia’s ambitious modification projects.

Garasi Drift has transformed the Lamborghini Murciélago into a drift machine known as “Drift Bull.” The full-size vehicle is scheduled to make its world premiere at IMX 2026.

Collectors will also be able to purchase a miniature version through the IMX Exclusive Garasi Drift x Musart Lamborghini Murciélago Pair Set.

The resin set contains two 1:64-scale models. One features the recognizable green appearance of Drift Bull, while the second carries a new livery that will be introduced at the event.

Production is limited to only 250 pairs worldwide. The set is priced at Rp3,500,000 and will be available at the Garasi Drift booth, number B4.

The release stands out because it connects a full-size Indonesian-built drift project with a miniature collectible. It also gives collectors two visual interpretations of the same ambitious Lamborghini concept.

Hot Wheels BNR34 Brings Indonesian Batik to a Collector Convention Car

The Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II BNR34 will be the featured vehicle for the Hot Wheels Indonesia Collectors Convention Car.

The Hot Wheels Collectors Convention series takes place in six countries, with Indonesia serving as the final stop. The Indonesian edition returns for its second year at IMX 2026.

The BNR34 is presented with distinctive Indonesian elements. Its blister packaging features an iconic batik ornament, while the model’s presentation uses a front-facing perspective.

The purchasing process differs from a standard retail release. Visitors must spend at least Rp1,000,000 in a single transaction at the Hot Wheels booth to receive one opportunity to purchase the Convention Car.

Each additional Rp1,000,000 in eligible spending provides another opportunity, with qualifying spending capped at Rp5,000,000 per transaction.

Eligible visitors must present valid purchase proof at the Redemption Booth. They will then participate in a draw to determine which version they can buy: Right Facing or Left Facing.

The selected model can be purchased for Rp1,000,000.

This release combines an internationally recognized Japanese performance car with Indonesian visual identity and a controlled purchasing process.

Nobuteru Taniguchi’s Toyota Aristo Returns as a 1:64 Model

The fourth featured release pays tribute to Nobuteru Taniguchi, widely known as NOB.

His Toyota Aristo NOB Special VERTEX Edition will be reproduced in 1:64 scale by Tarmac. The vehicle was selected because of its association with Taniguchi’s driving style and career, including drift exhibitions in the United States with Team HKS.

The diecast will be sold in limited quantities during IMX 2026 for Rp450,000.

Collectors can also choose a bundle that includes an IMX x NOB limited T-shirt for Rp800,000. The release will be available at the NOB booth, number B10.

Like the AE86 and Drift Bull releases, the Aristo connects a recognizable full-size vehicle with a collectible miniature.

VeilSide and Pandem Add More Exclusive Releases

Beyond the four main IMX event car and exclusive diecast releases, the exhibition will also feature special collaborations from Japanese tuning names VeilSide and Pandem.

VeilSide Mini GT Releases

Hironau Yokomaku will make his first appearance in Indonesia at IMX 2026, bringing several special collectible products.

One offering pairs a Mini GT FFZ400 Orange Chrome with an IMX x VeilSide limited RZ34-logo T-shirt. The bundle costs Rp1,300,000 and is limited to 30 pieces.

Another option is a blind-box goodie bag priced at Rp800,000, with only 188 pieces available.

Each package includes an IMX x VeilSide limited T-shirt and the opportunity to receive a Mini GT VeilSide model. Possible variants include the FF400 Gold, FFZ400 Orange Chase, and FFZ400 Gold Chase.

These products will be available at the VeilSide booth, number B36A.

Hot Wheels Pandem Subaru BRZ

Pandem owner Kei Miura will also attend IMX 2026 for the first time in Indonesia.

His special release is a Hot Wheels Subaru BRZ featuring Pandem’s distinctive widebody styling and Japanese street-racing influence.

The product is offered as a bundle with a Pandem x IMX limited T-shirt for Rp600,000. Visitors can find it at the Pandem booth, number B20.

The collaboration adds another Japanese tuning identity to the event’s collectible lineup.

IMX 2026 Gives Diecast Collecting a Full-Size Connection

One of the most distinctive aspects of the IMX 2026 lineup is the relationship between miniature models and full-size modified vehicles.

The four featured 1:64-scale releases will also be represented by real-size versions created by leading builders under the National Modificator & Aftermarket Association (NMAA).

This approach connects collecting with the craftsmanship, design decisions, and automotive personalities behind each project.

Rather than presenting diecast models as isolated merchandise, IMX places them within a broader modification culture. Visitors can encounter the full-size builds while exploring their miniature counterparts.

The combination of world premieres, limited production runs, international guests, and exclusive merchandise supports the event’s “Next Gen Culture” theme.

For collectors, IMX 2026 offers more than a selection of limited models. It provides an opportunity to see how automotive icons and contemporary custom projects move between full-size machines and collectible 1:64 representations.

With the event scheduled for October 9–11 at ICE BSD, the exclusive releases are set to become one of the major attractions for Indonesia’s growing automotive and diecast community.
