Toyota Agya Stylix race cars compete during the 2026 Indonesian Touring Car Race ITCR 1200 at Mandalika Circuit

Mandalika – Toyota Gazoo Racing Indonesia (TGRI) secured two major achievements in the 2026 Indonesian Touring Car Race (ITCR) 1200 championship after the final two rounds at the Mandalika International Circuit in West Nusa Tenggara on October 17–18.

Farrel Rafellyno Augusto claimed the national title in the Non-Seeded category during his debut season with TGRI. Meanwhile, teammate Amato Rudolph finished runner-up overall and in the Seeded A category after two competitive races at the Indonesian circuit.

The results capped a successful season for the Toyota-backed racing team, which continued to develop young drivers while competing against experienced racers in one of Indonesia’s prominent touring car championships.

Farrel Augusto Wins National Title in His Debut Season

At just 16 years old, Farrel delivered an impressive first season with TGRI. The young driver won the 2026 ITCR 1200 Non-Seeded championship after consistently scoring strong results throughout the six-round season.

His campaign began with a fourth-place finish in the opening round before he secured his first Non-Seeded victory in Round 2. Farrel maintained that momentum in the following events, finishing third in Round 3 and returning to the top of the podium in Round 4.

His progress reflected a growing understanding of the New Agya Stylix race car and the demands of touring car competition. That experience proved valuable as the championship reached its decisive stage at Mandalika.

Farrel won the Non-Seeded category in Round 5 on Saturday, October 17, recording a total time of 25 minutes and 17.939 seconds. He followed the victory with a second-place finish in Round 6 on Sunday, completing the race in 29 minutes and 14.678 seconds.

Those results secured the national title in his first season with TGRI.

The achievement also highlighted the team’s approach to identifying and developing young racing talent. Farrel’s debut campaign demonstrated how consistent results across multiple rounds can translate into a championship, even against competitors with more experience.

Farrel expressed his appreciation to Toyota-Astra Motor and the TGRI team for their support throughout the season. He also credited Amato for sharing his experience and helping him better understand how to maximize the New Agya Stylix’s performance at Mandalika.

Amato Rudolph Finishes Runner-Up Overall

Amato Rudolph also ended the season with a significant result, finishing runner-up overall and in the Seeded A category.

Competing against experienced drivers, Amato began the season with a third-place finish in Round 1 before securing second place overall in Round 2. He remained competitive during the next two rounds, although the intensity of the championship battle made it difficult to consistently challenge for the leading positions.

With the title still within reach before the final weekend, Amato prepared for the Mandalika rounds with the aim of maximizing his results. His pace was evident in qualifying, where he secured the Superpole position.

He converted that performance into a second-place finish in Round 5, completing the race in 24 minutes and 59.426 seconds.

The following day’s race presented another demanding challenge. After 12 laps of close competition and overtaking battles, Amato crossed the finish line in fourth place overall, recording a total time of 29 minutes and 12.466 seconds.

Although he did not secure the overall championship, his results earned him runner-up honors in both the overall standings and Seeded A category.

Amato said the season had provided valuable challenges and that he was pleased to improve on his previous year’s results. He also expressed his intention to return more competitive in the next season alongside Farrel.

Toyota Agya Stylix Supports Racing Development

The New Agya Stylix played an important role in TGRI’s ITCR 1200 campaign. The car competed in a field that included factory-backed teams and privateer entrants, with 32 drivers recorded as starters in the final round.

The championship divided competitors into three categories: Seeded A, Seeded B, and Non-Seeded. Amato competed in Seeded A, while Farrel entered the Non-Seeded category.

Around 12 drivers also competed using the New Agya Stylix during the final weekend, underlining the model’s presence in the touring car field.

Beyond the results, Toyota views motorsport as an opportunity to develop drivers and gather technical feedback. Experience gained through competition can provide useful insights into vehicle performance, handling, and durability under demanding conditions.

TGRI also supports the Agya One Make Race, a separate competition designed to give local drivers more opportunities to develop their skills. In its third year, the series attracted 16 participants from 10 teams across the Seeded and Non-Seeded categories.

A Stronger Season for TGRI

The ITCR 1200 results added to TGRI’s achievements in Indonesian motorsport during 2026. The team had also retained its national rally and sprint rally titles for a second consecutive year.

These results demonstrated TGRI’s presence across multiple racing disciplines and reinforced its focus on competition, driver development, and technical learning.

For Farrel, the Non-Seeded championship provides a strong foundation for his racing career. For Amato, the runner-up finishes offer a platform to pursue stronger results in the next season.

Together, their performances gave Toyota Gazoo Racing Indonesia two significant achievements in the 2026 ITCR 1200 championship and strengthened the team’s position in Indonesia’s touring car racing scene.
